Thomas E. Sehlinger, M.D.

Thomas E. Sehlinger, M.D., received his Bachelors degree in Political Science in 1982, a Masters degree in Anatomy in 1986 and his degree in medicine in 1989 from the University of Louisville. He obtained his internship in general surgery and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Sehlinger conducted research and published articles on the history

and development of orthopaedic implant devices. He was honored with the Gerhard Kuntscher Award for outstanding teaching resident 1993-1994 and the Orthopaedic Residents Research Award for 1993-1994. He has written publications on the Separation of Fuchsin Homologs using High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Thin Layer Chromatography of Commercial Samples of AmidoBlack. Dr. Sehlinger is certified by
the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons and members of the Indiana Orthopaedic Society, Jefferson
and Clark County Medical Societies, Kentucky, Indiana and American Medical Associations. He was on the Surgical Review Committee in 1995, 1998 and 1999, Strategic Planning Committee in 1999 and a Foundation Board Member in 2000-2002,
all at Clark Memorial Hospital.
