John E. Lindner, M.D.

John E. Lindner, M.D., received his undergraduate degree in biology in 1983 from the University of Kentucky and his degree in medicine in 1987 from the University of Louisville. His post graduate training included a general surgery internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he was later named Administrative Chief Resident in the Department of

Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Lindner was honored with the K. Armand Fischer Award in 1990 and the Gerhard Kuntscher Award in 1992. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1983 to 1996 where he was a Major and Staff Orthopedic Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps assigned to the 722nd Medical Group at March AFB and the 375th Medical Group at Scott AFB in Illinois. He was awarded the Preceptor of the Year for Physician’s Assistant Phase II training while stationed at Scott AFB. He has a written publication on Autogenous Corticocancellous Bone Grafting. Dr. Lindner is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and was board certified in 1994. He is a member of the Indiana and Louisville Orthopedic Societies as well as the Indiana, Kentucky, Jefferson County and Clark County Medical Associations.
