George W. Gossmann, Jr., M.D.

George W. Gossmann, Jr., M.D., received his Bachelors degree in Medical Science in 1964 from Washington & Lee University. In 1968 he received his degree in medicine from the University of Louisville. He completed an internship in Surgery at Ben Taub General Hospital, Houston, Texas and an Orthopedic residency at the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Gossmann then

had additional fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedics at Oxford University in England. Dr. Gossmann was a Medical Corps Lieutenant in the US Navy and was Battalion surgeon for 2nd BN 9th Marine Regiment Republic of Viet Nam 1969-1970. He is a clinical instructor in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Louisville. Dr. Gossmann is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Clark and Jefferson County Medical Societies, Indiana and Kentucky Medical Association, and Louisville and Indiana Orthopaedic Societies.
